By reforming contagious disease act and compulsory vaccination act. It has to become a bipartisan program if we have to vaccinate 100 crore + people in few months as soon as the vaccine is made available. This will require massive resources in terms of money and people 2/n

And obviously state governments will have to pitch in and pitch in significantly. It's natural that state governments may offer varied sops too. Then why do I not agree with it being in BJP manifesto? My reason, when the number 1 party in the country politicizes 3/n

The vaccine then it will start a game of never ending one upmanship even before the start of the program. From resource to quota allocation to schedules everything will become political and will severely hamper the efficacy of the program. Everything will questioned 4/n
