Obviously all the talk is about Trent today so I've written a thread on it with my views. I'd be grateful for retweets and comments on this as it is an important subject right now on FI and I want to know what others think about this.

It cannot be ignored that Trent has not won PB for a while while Roberston has now won it several times. Clearly Klopp has made a tactical switch which benefits Robertson over Trent. Trent has also lost some set pieces and now Robertson has risen a lot and Trent is in freefall.
This should well and truly dispel any myths about safe holds as Trent is now nearly ÂŁ4 down after only a few games. Is this an overreaction? Definitely BUT it's not an illogical one as the circumstances have changed. So as I holder what should I do? Could Trent drop even more?
Yes tbh he could drop more but my personal decision is that I refuse to sell such a talented player so low. Let's not forget he won Young Player of the Season last season and was instrumental in their title win. Do we really think Klopp is going to stifle Trent's ability forever?
This tactical switch has so far seen Liverpool concede three against Leeds and seven at Villa and they only scraped through at Ajax last night. It should also be mentioned that one of Robertson's PB wins was a rather fortunate gwg laid on by Trent. People are overreacting imo.
If I were to sell some Trent to buy Robertson I'd be selling Trent at an all time low to buy Robertson at an all time high and no matter how good/bad they may be doing atm that doesn't feel like sensible trading to me so I've made the decision to stick with Trent come what may.
Some will say I'm being silly/stubborn but not that long ago the same people were telling me I was an idiot for buying Messi and Rashford at peak. Sometimes you just have to go with your gut and my gut says that tactical switch or not Trent is still a world class young full back.
Will he start for England at the Euros? Who knows! I prefer not to comment on Southgate's team selection but I DO believe in the ability of Trent so if he's good enough eventually he WILL play. Have you seen his Beckham-esque freekicks? When did Robertson last score a freekick?
People are talking like Trent is now finished and that's just silly. Personally I think Klopp tested something new last season after they'd won the title which benefitted Robertson who won PB at Arsenal (another game Liverpool LOST). Tactics can be switched back in a heartbeat!
I can't tell you whether to sell Trent. I know some good people whose opinions I trust are now considering selling and that's their choice. I accept I may regret my decision to stick but if there's one thing I've learned it's always listen to others BUT trust your own gut too! đź‘Š
