Here are 10 things I& #39;m thankful for https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="👇" title="Rückhand Zeigefinger nach unten" aria-label="Emoji: Rückhand Zeigefinger nach unten">

// THREAD //
1. Health.

Without health there& #39;s no wealth.

I am thankful for having gotten to 35 without any major health issues.

Being healthy truly boosts your ability to succeed.

Don& #39;t overlook it and take care of it.
2. My Wife.

She keeps me level and is the second half of my wealth-building team.

She also introduced me to the concept of FI so without her, I wouldn& #39;t be here.

I& #39;m grateful to have found her.
3. My Family.

I grew up in a stable, two-parent household with a dad who taught me finances and a mom who kept things light.

I also have a great brother, 2 weird cats, and of course my awesome wife.

I wouldn& #39;t trade my family for anything.
4. My Friends.

I don& #39;t have many, but that& #39;s by choice.

My standards for my friend circle are high so only the best of the best stick around.

I am thankful for the great group of supportive friends I have, especially the ones I can talk money with!
5. Finances.

I am supremely grateful to be able to be unemployed and still wake up each morning and not have to worry about money.

Learning personal finance skills at a young age IS a life hack.

It needs to be taught in elementary school.
6. Unemployment.

Yes, I am thankful for unemployment.

Sometimes you get too deep into something that you lose context.

Work was that for me.

I was too close to my routine that I couldn& #39;t see other options.

Now I have a bird& #39;s-eye view and can take things slower.
7. Opportunity.

One thing sudden unemployment provides is opportunity.

Opportunity to:

- Recalibrate
- Take a breath
- Course-correct
- Build other income
- Focus on neglected interests
- Build interesting connections

I& #39;m working on all of these.

I& #39;m glad for the chance.
8. Hobbies and Downtime.

Speaking of neglected interests, everyone should have at least a couple of non-money hobbies they are passionate about.

Mine are:

- Walking
- Thinking
- Reading
- Writing
- Computer Games

I& #39;m thankful for these. They provide an outlet for stress.
9. Community.

The personal finance Twittersphere is robust and has a lot of great accounts run by better people.

I& #39;ve been able to engage more these last 3 weeks:

Some of the best:

@FI_Squirrel
@REMNTM
@creation247
@SteveOnSpeed
@BWPFinance
@moneyfitjourney
@MoneyJrod
