We risk misunderstanding the times we are living through if we do not start to recognise Brexitism (sic) as a political, social, cultural, (im)moral "system" ... with its own governing party.

Even if the system is not currently codified it is very easy to see its outlines ...

We know now instinctively what things are Brexitist in very much the same way as we can describe certain things as fascist or communist.

If we continue to focus merely on the jumbled pieces of the jigsaw we will miss the picture that will be obvious to history.

I have no doubt you could come up with a list of Brexitist things ... it would probably be quite a long one.

It would also be true to say that Brexitists would be able to write their own list ... and it would probably be largely identical.

(The difference is that what they see as virtue you see as vice ... and vice versa.)
