This is for my Christian folk. Been seeing a lot of talk about how this country doesn’t need prayers. It’s our fault. We need prayers but actual prayers that God can get answer. Just because you complain “in Jesus name” doesn’t make that prayer.

A lot of our prayers are hypocritical diversions from what needs to be done & excuses for our inactivity & ineptitude. There’s a place for prayer & a place for action. Neither will replace the other. Haven’t you noticed that God isn’t answering? Meanwhile God answers prayers.

Nehemiah is the perfect text for what I’m saying. He was a cup bearer in exile that had a passion for his country to be rebuilt. He prayed & fasted but when Atarxerxes asked what he needed, he had a full proof plan ready.

He went back to rebuild & had a strategy at every point in the process. The strategy kept changing but the work continued & the work wasn’t abandoned for “prayer”.

Prayer is work but real prayer leads to the right things being done because God isn’t going to fly down to do that which He has empowered you to. Jesus Christ still had to do the work of dying on the cross after praying at Gethsemane. What are you doing?
