The song "Chandelier" was playing in the dream I was having when I was awoken by a loud helicopter this morning. I've already forgotten the dream, but I can't get this song out of my head. I'll just try to live today like it doesn't exist, like it doesn't exist.
And earlier I awoke at 3:35 AM from a dream in which Jefferson Starship's "With Your Love" was playing. I'd heard both songs on YouTube in the past few days.
BTW, it turned out the helicopter was just Sanford's old Ford F-150. His name probably isn't Sanford, but he's always bringing junk home from job sites. Also doubtful that his girlfriend's name is Weezy.
There's a guy a few streets over from me who has his front porch setup with so much junk that I also started calling him Sanford in 2014. He has a microwave and mini fridge out there. Wish I had a front porch with a microwave and a mini fridge.
He's one of the few people who ever says hi to me when I'm out for a 5-mile walk. He works for the town's DPW. I see him driving around a lot. He gets paid to blow leaves and scrape up roadkill. That job has a pension and health benefits... plus free venison.
The house 3 houses over from his was an FBI crime scene in 2015. It was like CSI, with tents set up in the front yard. No news of this ever appeared online or in newspapers, but there must have been a dead body and a suspected murder. Or maybe it was for a pilot for CSI-Paramus?
Roger Maris lived in that house, maybe even when he hit 61 home runs in 1961? That's still the record if you asterisk Bonds, McGwire and Sosa for PEDs. They once asterisked Maris because he played a longer season than Babe Ruth, thus the movie title.
Mickey Mantle also lived here. He'd rent during the season. I've tried figuring out which house he was photographed in front of for Life Magazine. I determined that the ranch there in the photo might be that house. New owner changed the front.
Six New York #Yankees lived within a mile of me. I didn't get their autographs on account of I wasn't born yet when 5 of them lived here, and I didn't live here yet when the 6th (Graig Nettles) lived here. My son's friend grew up in Joe Pepitone's old house. (June 2007 photos)
Yep, this thread went from @Sia's "Chandelier" to our Cub Scout den touring Yankee Stadium in 2007. Maybe a subconscious link as I once synced the photos to a song Zero 7 had in Garden State. (Sia sang for Zero 7.) @TheSophieBarker sang lead on the song.
