A year ago today my dad had a heart attack. We didn't know that though as he didn't want to bother anyone. He proceeded to have multiple heart attacks for 4 more days. He was misdiagnosed with indigestion & got a taxi to hospital because he didn't want to inconvenience the NHS
This delay has caused my dad to have severe heart failure. But we are incredibly lucky. With amazing care from @LivHospitals & @LHCHFT he is now doing so well. Im so proud of him. We can't thank the staff enough for what they have done for our family.
But it breaks my heart to read the statistics that people are not presenting at A&E with heart attacks and other life threatening conditions due to the pandemic. It is SO important to seek help. You are NOT bothering anyone. You are NOT an inconvenience.

This has been such a rollercoaster 12 months. But more than anything it has shown me how kind people are 
From friends, family, work colleagues old & new and the incredible NHS staff who were not only literally life savers, but so warm and caring in our time of need
