So I've finished watching Obama.

I can't help but think two things have made this election as close as it is.

The pandemic. Had 5 ppl died from Covid and it disappeared like a miracle, we wouldn't see the voting numbers we are seeing rn.

Drumpf wld be winning.

I have lived all my life in America and it is way more racist, homophobic, misogynistic...just downright terrible than many ppl are willing to see or accept.

If it weren't, Drumpf would have never have been a nominee in the first place.

He was a terrible candidate. There were less horrible Repubs to vote for. There were like 1,000 of them. Yet, he got the nomination.

And as I've said to my father for the last four years, Drumpf is America's Id. And America voted for him. He had help in the end but...

He should have never been anywhere near being the nominee had he not been America's Id.

So had the pandemic been a blip, he would have won in a landslide. Despite everything.

And had George Floyd not been murdered...

His murder is why #EndSars is happening. His murder, as I hate to even say, is a pebble in a pond. It rippled around the world.

8 mins and 46 seconds changed the trajectory of this election.

Let that settle on your soul.

Do you know how long it took for the cops to arrive on the scene before Tamir Rice was murdered?

Do you know how long terrorists murdered Muslims in Christchurch?

But you hear 8 mins and 46 seconds and you know exactly what that refers to.

I said months ago, grief was going to be the deciding factor. I said grief fuels a different kind of rage. It just burns differently.

But I really just want us to remember it took over a 100, 000 lives and 8 mins and 46 of a murder to get rid of Drumpf.

It wasn't his racism. It wasn't his misogyny. His homophobia. Caging babies.

It took wanton disregard of a worldwide scale of death and 8 minutes and 46 seconds.

And all that has done is made this race CLOSE. After all this, it is still not a sure thing.

My god.
