2/ In the decision obtained by @HKFP, the adjudicator said the torture claimant did not walk, talk or dress like a gay man as he did not wear makeup, high heels or a floral garment. And he had a beard and didn't sound gay.

3/ @justicecentrehk told @HKFP's @holongsze that these kind of "bigoted, discriminatory and unacceptable" show that legislative efforts to "speed up" legal challenges to the refugee torture claim process are in vain, as the system itself is very broken, hence all the appeals.

4/ The @WHO declassified homosexuality as a mental "disorder" in 1990, whilst the American Psychiatric Association removed the "diagnosis" from its handbook in 1973.
