In his response, he names my husband and basically calls me a gold digger. IF NOT FOR THAT, I wouldn't even consider responding because he's frankly beneath my notice.

So, cleary, I do not like this man as a person.

I refrained from mentioning my dislike of him or any of the things I know about his personal life in my review and based my opinion solely on what's on the page. I didn't even name him as I was shaming his shitty writing.

I thought that was rather charitable of me, to be honest.

But he is an emotional manipulator and abuser. He KNOWS how to elicit a response from people. He's TRYING to get me to respond to his refutations of my review.

And his comments on my Amazon review of the same title which takes more shots at me, personally. Note that I took no shots at him in my review. I critiqued the writing only.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't have this stuck in my head right now.

If nothing else, my friend has gotten great joy over seeing her mediocre ex absolutely dunked on in a public forum.
