I’m so tired of Queers defending our label and existence being painted as not caring about those who have trauma around the word
We tell them to mute the word rather than engage us or say we shouldn’t identify the way we are.
They don’t listen because they’d rather invalidate us and attack us.
But again, ppl only see us as not caring about them.

We always have to fight alone
You’d rather tell us “well not everyone likes that word”
you never tell them “hey, ok you don’t have to like the word, they aren’t telling you to use it for yourself, mute the word & leave them alone”. NEVER.
But you love to call yourselves allies

When we are defending ourselves from people literally telling us to identify as Questioning instead or telling us it is nothing but a slur, you’re quick to say
“Well...people have trauma with the word.”
Sounds so much like “well, you can’t blame them”

As if we aren’t being actively traumatized right there in front of you.
