The creators of Cyberpunk 2077 are transphobic as fuck! Do you know what that means? That means if you purchase and play it, you are also transphobic as fuck by association!

This is no different than JK Rowling being a TERF and still having support on her side. She gets to rake in the dough at the suffering of trans people. I'm going to have a very difficult time believing you if you say you support trans lives while you play this game.

"But Madison! It's just a game! How much harm can it do?" Too much harm. I say it enough as it is. Keeping transphobes relevant undermines the transphobia we have to endure because of them and they do not take responsibility for the danger they put us in.

You can have your fun while playing, but your fun comes with a cost. The cost of trans lives being negatively affected by a game whose creators get a kick out of making us into jokes and fetishizing us. Trans lives should be more important than a game.

If you're trans and reading this, it's totally okay to have a different opinion! I am speaking for myself as a trans person and how deeply disgusted I am to see there be support for creators who are a danger to us. Our lives matter more than a form of entertainment.

If you're cis and reading this, consider thinking about how your actions involving this game, or wherever transphobia is involved, can hurt us. What more is there for me to say other than, "Supporting them is harming us"? Your actions have consequences, whether you see it or not.

Yes, this thread was meant to shame you if you support known transphobes. Go support trans creators instead. Look for trans creators in these categories and give them the recognition they deserve.
