Only I can reply because I promise y’all will interpret every way except the right way, so let me be abundantly clear:

I love #DezNat & the people who use it, but we can be more effective. Real love is truthful & it isn’t fun, but it is effective

Jesus always gave people the hard truth, but he wasn’t senseless.

Jesus didn’t get bored and come to earth to cause controversy just because. Aside from fulfilling his ultimate mission, Jesus lived an intentional life all the way through

Since I just used it, lets revisit the woman at the well.

Jesus could have easily given her the sharpest rebuke of her life. He literally IS perfect & he would have had every right.

He didn’t give her “the sharpest rebuke of her life” because that wouldn’t have been effective

Now it’s important to note that he DID rebuke her. He identified the sin, was blunt, and said “go and sin no more”

Jesus did NOT ignore the severity of her sin, but he did discern she was willing to change and He extended her that grace. That is what we are called to do #DezNat

Now I would say our reaction SHOULD DIFFER if the party is unwilling to change & actively misrepresenting the gospel.

For unrepentant sinners Jesus didn’t have kind words. He called them VIPERS #DezNat

Like, I am under no illusion that if we’re just nice enough to say Calvin that he will simply straighten out & follow Christ. He is an example of someone who actively antagonizes The Church & that’s not what this thread is about
