The Importance of OPSEC:

[SHORT THREAD]
There was a young dude (late teens), who would keep flexing on forums, servers, instagram about how rich he was.

Eventually two Dutch guys plotted a plan to rob him.

They set up around his house (he lives with his parents) and studied his schedule for weeks.
They found out when the parents left the house and knocked on the guys door dressed as postmen.

His little brother opens the door, the robbers knock his brother out & break into his home with machetes.

The guy is at the top of the stairs with a baseball bat and drops it.
The robbers beat the guy up and force the kid to recover his Trezor recovery seed and transfer 80 coins (about £600k at the time) out his wallet and into theirs.

The guy couldn’t go to the police because his coins were made illegally.
Lessons:

- Make money legally, you won’t have anything to worry about.

- Don’t create unnecessary enemies but talking shit to people & flexing.

- Completely rethink how secure everything is (both online and offline).
I have everything locked down to perfection.

I have everything so badly locked down that even I can’t access my coins even if I wanted to within 48 hours.

I have my online side also locked down.

I have done nothing illegal so not open to extortions by snitches etc

Stay woke.
The understanding of cyber security is ESSENTIAL for EVERYONE.

Or be like the CEO of Dreamhost and get simmed for $45MM because you left your coins on an exchange... idc.

Do your own research and stay safe boys.
