My all time favorite movie and why I love it so much: a threadđŸŽ„
I don’t have a lot of favorite things, especially when it comes to mediums like music and movies because there are just so many of them.
That being said, I do have a favorite movie and that movie is:
How to Train Your Dragon (2010)
I saw this movie in theaters when it came out, and it changed my life. I remember leaving the theater and being so dead set on training dragons before being devastated about dragons not being real-
Also, I don’t know how well I’d be able to do it now, but at one point I was able to quote the opening word for word, as well as other scenes throughout the movie!!
My favorite thing about this movie is the soundtrack, composed by John Powell. It’s the only soundtrack in my music library that I have downloaded in its entirety.
The soundtrack is all I’m gonna be taking about in this thread because if I wanted to talk about EVERYTHING that I love about this movie, we’d be here for a very long time😳😳😳
Also, if at any point after reading this thread you feel like listening to the soundtrack, DO IT!! I highly recommend giving it a listen👀
Here are my favorite songs from the soundtrack, in no particular order.
I’m also gonna attach screen recorded snippets of the songs that I talk about to really bring the point home!!
1. This is Berk
This is the opening score of the movie, and it always gives me goosebumps. It sets the atmosphere in an amazing way and literally feels like John Powell sitting you down and telling you that you’re in for one of the best viewing experiences of your entire LIFE.
2. Forbidden Friendship
Other than the scene accompanied by this song having the iconic moment where Toothless rests his head against Hiccup’s hand, this song is literally ETHEREAL!!!!
It tells the story of Hiccup building Toothless’ trust, and by the time that moment occurs you’re already in TEARS, and by “you’re” I mean ME because this scene has made me cry.
3. Romantic Flight
Okay so I HAD to record this one in its entirety because this song will never not make me misty eyed. It’s so beautifully composed, and the SCENE that it plays over is so breathtaking.
