my theory about twice’s new comeback (i cant stop me), a thread:

this is kinda all over the place cuz i just drew this out of nowhere from like an hour ago BUT!

the main idea is: jeongyeon is the all-knowing being of the twiceverse. yes or yes, fancy, more & more, and i cant stop me are all connected.

FIRST!! in yes or yes, jeongyeon is seen a few times in a dark forest. specifically this scene speaks to me. none of the other members are really seen in this type of area?? they’re all in the happy fun fairytale land, except jeongyeon.

the next two comebacks, fancy and more & more, are obviously about loving someone and all that. how you would do anything for someone and how they’ll be begging for more.

in fancy, jeongyeon pricks her finger on a rose. this could symbolize the same all-knowing idea i’ve been thinking about. rose is obviously the symbol for love, but she knows what the other members don’t. that love isnt all sunshine and rainbows.

i forgot to include feel special at the beginning of this but in feel special, jeongyeon is the only one that comes to meet the “other version” of her. i haven’t watched this mv in a fat min so please correct me if i’m wrong, but she is the only one that isn’t paired +

- with a member. she comes face to face with herself and the version that seems to be darker and more intimidating.

in more & more, there is a scene where mina picks an apple off the tree and takes a bite of it. now here’s where the connection kind of falls. in the beginning of the i cant stop me teaser, the bitten apple is depicted to have fallen, most likely dropped due to the slight +

shake it has from its impact of hitting the floor. i think this is supposed to be similar to the adam and eve story. i’m not a super big religious person and i don’t know my stance on it but it’s actually very similar.

in the first accounts of creation, adam and eve were told not to eat from the tree. but when they did, and they took a bite of the apple, they became all-knowing like the serpent (potentially jeongyeon in this case) said they would.

in the twiceverse, twice took a bite of the apple and became “all-knowing” as jeongyeon is. they see love for what it really can be, toxic and dark.

in the i cant stop me teaser, the girls are depicted at a table, all facing different versions of themselves. one version are wearing warm, light toned outfits, and the other version are wearing black outfits.

the thing that kind of struck me here, this could be a stretch but the looks on the girls faces?? 8/9 members were looking at their “darker” version of themselves almost in awe in my opinion. all but jeongyeon. jeongyeon and the other version of her both held the same

expression. because jeongyeon knew this would happen.

kidding! not end of thread. tying back to the adam and eve theory. in the accounts of genesis i unfortunately had to read in my drag of religion class, there was a line that said “and their eyes were opened” EYES WIDE OPEN!! i am so big BRAINED!
