Man is privileged enough to ask fans to pay him for simply being in the fandom and doing work female fans and journalists have already been doing for years.

I’ve seen it so many times. People fawn over (white) men in feminised fandom spaces because it’s like their attention somehow makes that fandom legitimate.

It’s internalised misogyny plain and simple.

This is the first time I’ve seen someone try to profit off it though.

Especially when there are countless women doing this labour for nothing.

One of the things I really really love about BTS is the way they, when called out, listened, acknowledged, learned, and actively strove to be better.
