Tiny met both sets of his grandparents during the first month or two of his life and I don’t think he will see them again for his first birthday in January.
I still haven’t met my niece born in July.
I’ve thought about driving the kids to LA to see my parents and brother’s family in their yard, but ugh.
The window of opportunity to do that is closing bc the weather is gonna turn and the cases are gonna spike.
I just don’t know.
My family takes social distancing seriously bc my dad is extremely high risk - he’s a diabetic, cancer survivor, and on dialysis 3x a week. And my niece and our baby are both under 1 and don’t have all their shots and can’t get the flu vaccine.
My mom is part of my brother’s bubble, but when they brought the baby to meet my dad, they all wore masks and sat across from them.
So I feel like we would all sit outside and be chill and watch the boys play in yard and like just eat some snacks and then we’d go back to our hotel, but ugh, I’m so tired guys.
Oh here’s a fun fact: Tiny has barely left the house except for doctors appointments, sitting the car while I drop his brother’s off, and an occasional stroller walk, so when he sees anyone not in our family, my very happy baby screams like he’s on fire. Hysterically crying.
Bc he’s been nowhere and has seen no one. He has perfect milky skin bc he’s never been out in the sun.
So one of my considerations is that we’ll go all the way to LA and he’ll just scream bloody murder the whole time.
Which would make my parents so sad
