I have a quick story to tell you guys. Real true story with a lesson at the end. At times like this it is important for people to understand that every one has a role to play in this fight for Africa.
But let me begin the story...
But let me begin the story...
June 6th 1921, the Belgian soldiers scheduled to invade Nkamba DRC to arrest Simon Kimbangu, which they failed to do. (If you’re Congolese and you do not know who Simon Kimbangu is, you’re are missing a huge chunk of your history because he literally gave his life for Congo.
Now before the arrival of the Belgian soldiers in Nkamba
to arrest him. Simon Kimbangu had told his people these exact words “Oyo amoni que ako koka te malamu akende sikoyo”.
Translation: Those who see that they will not be able to handle it, it is best if you leave now.

You may ask Josna what does this have to do with anything? Why did Simon Kimbangu tell his people to leave if they can’t handle it. Well it’s is simple, not everyone has the capacity to handle such situations. Whether it’s physically or mentally
Simon Kimbang had the foresight to see that his time to be arrested wasn’t up yet and in order for his people’s lives to be saved...peace needed to be ensued. He wanted no violence to happen.
Back to the story. The soldiers came hun blazing but their bullets didn’t just a single sole, intact water came out of their guns instead. No one was being hit!
Until one man lost his temper and threw a stone at one of the Belgian soldiers, causing the soldier to bleed.

Now this pissed of the soldier & as a result he made shot which ended up hitting a baby who was on his mother’s back and the child died.
The child died to this man disobeying Simon Kimbangus words. He had no restraint wasn’t able to handle the situation and therefore lashed out.

The reason why I told this story is because I keep seeing people attack those who “they deem aren’t physically fighting enough” for the current causes happening for Africa.
Like I said not everyone has the capacity to mentally deal with this.

They find that retweeting to bring awareness is all they can really do. Be it the protesters, be it the marchers, be it the reposters, be it the vandalised even be it the people who are quiet.
EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US HAS A ROLE THAT WE ARE PLAYING!
EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US HAS A ROLE THAT WE ARE PLAYING!
They will be bad seeds and their will be good seeds. That is just how life is and that is how it has to be. Simon Kimbangu gave his people the option to opt out. That didn’t make them weak it made them strong because no matter how much they wanted to stand by him...
They understood that it wasn’t the time and place for the situation at hand and also for their own good.
We also need to understand rn that their is no blueprint to how you can fight for your country. Support however you can.
We also need to understand rn that their is no blueprint to how you can fight for your country. Support however you can.
For example; In the Europe, we can’t go burning things like they are doing back home it’s not the time and place.
We can’t do many of the things our people are doing back home because we are waters that are essentially not our own.
We can’t do many of the things our people are doing back home because we are waters that are essentially not our own.
So don’t let anyone discourage you and force it down your throat. At the end of the day, You either support or you don’t. It has to come from the heart, from the love of your nation,of your neighbours & of your fellow human beings.
