If your conclusion is that there is a dearth of women in sports media because they are less interested, less passionate, or prefer topics like travel or fashion, my conclusion is that you have a shocking lack of critical thinking abilities or self awareness. (1/)
If your conclusion doesn't involve any reflection on the societal/institutional barriers that exist to make women feel like they do not belong in sports or that it simply requires giving too much of their time and energy to defending their existence, you are part of the problem.
The notion that women simply don't want to do it or have no passion for it is divorced from reality.

Representation matters. Until sports media is inclusive of people other than cis-gendered, straight white men, your takes about why there aren't women, etc, are just GARBAGE.
Aside from that, the suggestion that being interested in sports means you aren't talking about fashion, travel, cooking, or other topics means you are FAILING at covering sports.

It means you are NOT talking about Russell Westbrook or Elias Pettersson or Cam Newton and style.
It means you are NOT talking about Louis Domingue baking or Antoine Roussel's love of maple syrup.

It means that you are missing out on different and interesting angles to cover the subjects you are supposed to be writing about.

So maybe shut up and do your job better.
