Anarchists abstaining from voting is cargo-cult politics.

It’s done not because it achieves anything, but because "that’s what anarchists do".

I’d like political practice to be about achieving things instead of making symbolic announcements of your group identity.

Letting Donald Trump win is like letting gangrene spread.

Getting Trump out by (reluctantly) voting for Joe Biden is like amputating the limb before it has a chance to spread.

Neither are good options. The latter is still horrific and painful. But the former is definitely worse

And once again, taking ONE DAY to vote does not mean you can’t do direct action and grassroots organising for change every other day before and after that.

Hell, you can do it on the same day you vote if there isn’t a long line.
