Pay attention, devs - based on these recent breakouts, here's the playbook for making a successful game:

Phasmophobia: Release an Early Access horror game around the same time as a well-reviewed sequel to one of the most popular indie horror games ever (Amnesia: Dark Descent)
Among Us: Make a social deception game with a mobile game interface (PC gamers love this) and no integrated voice chat, release it, discount it by 50%, wait two years for streamers to stumble upon it, then start patching it once you've achieved unprecedented success
Genshin Impact: make an open-world RPG in the spirit of a beloved Nintendo game but with F2P gacha-style microtransactions (western PC gamers love this) and a playtime-limiting resource mechanic, don't release it on Steam
