A thread of praise and admiration for our new guitarist Yoongi

When he reached this point of comfort playing for us to lose himself and get into a song he clearly loves, the first one he could sing and play at once, WOW.

Of course I’m amazed how capable and comfortable he is after only a few short months of practice, but what’s more exciting is Yoongi expressing the holistic love for music that drives him to keep learning and changing

The full song he played, It's Not Love if it Hurts Too Much by Kim Kwangseok is so beautiful, it makes my heart ache, and it's so cool to see more of yoongi's musical inspiration

If you go check out Becoming Dust it’s clear yoongi’s rockstar ambitions truly do rival and complement his rap star status like he centers on in Shadow, please he loves rock music so much and it seems he does want this more diverse musical identity

He may have started music through rap and hip hop focused production and cited acts like Epik high and Stony Skunk as the people he looked up to when his dreams of performing were developing, but Yoongi will never be limited or boxed into a style

CAN WE TALK ABOUT HIM FULLY NAILING THIS SEESAW VERSE DESPITE SAYING HE DOESNT REMEMBER THE KEY? I never expected to be blessed with Seesaw acoustic but here we are oh my god

Yoongi has this special way of finding passion in things and diving headfirst into it. When he wants to become something, he does it. Yoongi isn’t the same musician he was when I found his music, I think that’s what has all of us in a trance over him right now

Like, my conception of him as a creator is changing so much with every new song he makes and new skills he takes on. When I got into BTS 3 years ago he was a rapper and producer to me because I didn’t know much, but now I see him as more of multidisciplinary musician

With boundless potential in how he might express himself in the future. He’s obviously so proud of working hard at this and wants us to know he’s growing a lot and he has ideas

SPEAKING OF WHICH, HE IS ALREADY WRITING AND RECORDING SONGS HIMSELF WITH THE GUITAR!! WHAT THE HELL

LIKE THAT WAS FUCKIN FAST, he only started learning in late July, got obsessed with the guitar and immediately implemented it into his own songs. Yoongi inspires me so much because everything he creates feels like it’s a new beginning, his new day 1

It was my DREAM that Yoongi would play Eight, song of the year, for us and he played it beautifully Of course he knows the song he composed himself, and he’s just so casual about it, “it’s easy because it has 4 chords”

Not to mention he could just pick up Dynamite and Savage Love right away LMAOOO I CANNOT BELIEVE YOONGI, he has such a great ear and just picks this stuff up like he was born to do it

You know Yoongi can freestyle on piano effortlessly and string together what feels like something coherent immediately?

He’s basically already there with guitar strumming away and playing around like a natural, I think we’re in big trouble guys
