#Cowboys made the two biggest mistakes you could make with a RB
A) Never draft one high [used 4th overall pick]
B) Don't give him a massive contract
Cowboys gave Elliott a $90M contract but without Dak, their offense is dead in the water, and Zeke also has 5 fumbles in 6 games

How often do we see that if a starting RB leaves the game, their backup comes in and produces just as well? and even if it's slightly worse, it's hardly noticeable.
Zeke has ran for 4.1 yards per carry this year, his backup, a mid-round pick last year Tony Pollard, has 4.0 avrg

A good thread here by @MichaelDavSmith shows how little value a "RB1" has for a team.
The thing that matters more is scheme and OL play vs a defense. The RB himself adds little to no value to a rushing attack. https://twitter.com/MichaelDavSmith/status/1313157233027543040
