okay this might be a stretch,,?
but heres my ENHYPEN debut trailer theory thread:

so first off i cant say much about the first couple scenes bc theyre just generally about the debut and training

HOWEVER things took a turn here when jake says “we were desperate in our desire to transform” because ofc he could br referring to the trainee - artist transition, however it isn’t necessarily a “transformation” bc the word notions a drastic change

with “not knowing it to be a blessing or a curse” and this scene with the bloody(?) hands sort of struggling, obviously they arent just talking about trainee life anymore and more of the concept. with the use of “blessing” and “curse”, theres a sense of fantasy+

and the hint towards something supernatural because curses and blessings are things that arent seen by one’s eye.

this is when it gets reALL: with the use of the text “blood-light” and jake saying “blood-red moonlight blazes”, its confirmed that the hand from before was covered in blood, AND there is a hint towards more supernatural concepts with the blood red moon and blood

so the “unquenchable thirst” could refer to either the concepts of vampires or werewolves, as BOTH involve the aspects of blood and moon in their stories: vampires drinks blood and are affected by the rising of the BLOOD moon, and werewolves are supposedly vicious and are also+

affected by the rising of the full moon. now its just a bet between if the concept is between vampires and werewolves since with the words “mortal - immortal” we can think about how both vampires and werewolves are immortal beings, as they possess such powers +

omg another moon, but the words “why must we walk along an endless line” works with the idea of immortal beings as they can never die of old age thus they walk along the “endless line”

another key aspect is the use of “us - others”, since in common media the figures of vampires and werewolves and other mythical creatures are seen to be generally called “the others” as they are not human

lol this is all over the place but lets talk about motifs!!!
motifs are dominant ideas that are recurring in an artistic work, so something that repeats over and over, and in the trailer there are a couple:
1. the moon
2. blood
3. forests!!

the moon:
as i mentioned before, the moon is special to both vampires and werewolves since they are large parts of their mythical forms and backstories, and also affect their behaviors. the moon is seen multiple times throughout the trailer too!

blood:
again, blood is also influential in both stories of vampires and werewolves, however it could have a stronger connection to vampires bc its literally like the main aspect of what vampires are lol

the forest:
the forest is the last motif, bc its seen MULTIPLE like hella lot of times, where the boys are lying down, or just in general, and this gives off the idea of creatures and things that are wild? so ig it leans more towards werewolves

bonus: the boys’ outfits are very like antique vibey old fits, especially their dress shirts, which is similar to common outfits that fit with the idea of vampires like yanno dracula etc with the fancy coats and all

SO BASICALLY: its either vampires or werewolves, but i mean could be both?? bc omg likr twilight vibes and the common used idea of vampires vs. werewolves

omg and i almost foRGOT thE EYE lol so i mean like both vampires and werewolves have colored eyes??? but i think vampires have red and werewolves have this like yellow/amber eye color which fits more,,,,, but tbh idek it could be both vamps/wwolves or could be neither,,,,

lol and this is just a theory idk i put more work into this than my actual english research paper omg okay thanks for reading ily <333
