The only way to reach out to the working class is if you lay your hand on the shoulder of a white plumber with droopy drawers and say to him, "it& #39;s okay to say slurs." https://twitter.com/mtracey/status/1318928611295039488">https://twitter.com/mtracey/s...
Tracey just has an incredibly limited view of who the American working class is these days. The "working class" isn& #39;t a barista or retail worker unwinding after an eight hour shift, watching steamers. The possibility of this is inconceivable within his rigid political calculus.
Imagine this (I dunno what to call it) "point" being made about a sporting event. Imagine Tracey& #39;s incredulity over a politician attending a football game in their district/state. Imagine his disgust when fans cheer this person when they appear on the JumboTron.
One could certainly say in response to that, "enjoy your vapid celeb-worshipping!"

But you& #39;d probably have a lot of people pointing out just how laughably insular a view that take is. You& #39;d probably get responses pointing out how this is ignorant of working class culture.
