Can it be justice if it's also racist?

This company is pleading guilty to hooking primarily white people on a drug that has caused a drug crisis that dwarfed the crack epidemic. White-on-white has crime skyrocketed--although the media rarely reported on it in that context.
White folks selling pills to each other like they're Skittles and when caught, somehow the evade the harsh sentences Black, Indigenous, and Brown people receive. All the robberies and murders. All the white babies born with addictions to opioids.
Not stigma nor generalizations nor stereotypes attached to any of it. None of it deemed a pathological feature of whiteness. But because it was happening to white people, the U.S. has no choice but to admit that addiction is a health crisis, not a criminal one.
But this kind of accountability, however reluctant, is only on the table when the victims are primarily white. Not just during the crack epidemic, but right this very instant, Black, Indigenous, and Brown drug users are treated as criminals.
Black, Indigenous, and Brown babies dehumanized as "crack babies." Ableism off the fucking chain.
And the U.S. government (Reagan, Ollie North, and the rest of the thugs; and every president after who installed anti-BIPOC policies) hasn't even admitted to, much less offered compensation for, the role it played in creating the crack epidemic.
