when all the real data comes in on how many people lockdowns killed, finding anyone who admits to having supported them is going to be like trying to find the fans that said the browns could win the superbowl last year. https://twitter.com/NahasNewman/status/1318928807018008577
this is the challenge in using all cause deaths as a gauge of covid intensity in countries that locked down.

lockdowns did not stop covid to any great degree and may have made it worse.

but they also added lots of preventable (excess) deaths as well. https://twitter.com/boriquagato/status/1308022820736245760?s=20
and yet when we look at sweden, we see that all cause deaths are not high by historical standards nor compared to other nordic countries this year.

so remember that. https://twitter.com/HaraldofW/status/1318260177955684352?s=20
all cause deaths or "excess deaths" does not "prove" covid deaths in places that locked down.

both likely played a role and how big the effects of each were remains to be seen.

but if this is anything like generalizable, this policy was a massive killer https://twitter.com/boriquagato/status/1318160013584703490?s=20
