Kanban is a popular, but I think, ultimately terrible way to visualize queues of work items.

It’s extremely linear, and at scale, what you get is a clusterfuck of work flowing through interconnected but invisible queues.

JIRA linked issues, anybody?
JIRA linked issues create a “portal” from one linear flow of work to another linear flow of work.

Now, you have non-linearity.

But it’s not visualized! Your cards still flow from left to right.
In @MiroHQ you can turn JIRA issues into these little cards that live on an unlimited, zoomable canvas.

You can draw arrows between the cards! But these connections aren’t really linking those cards together.
