Jamie Lynn Spears cannot be trusted - a #FreeBritney thread

Before we begin, this was not an easy decision to make a thread about Britney's sister. But ultimately, the evidence in this thread will show that the scrutiny is justified, especially since she has pushed herself back into the public eye by releasing a new project. #FreeBritney

Britney Spears and Jamie Lynn grew up in Kentwood, Louisiana. As their mom Lynne wrote about in her book, they did not live in the most stable home. Their father Jamie was an alcoholic and even her kids would tell her, "Mama, you can't be that blind." #FreeBritney

Jamie Lynn's relationship with her dad always depended on his substance abuse issues and she admits "he had his demons when it came to drinking." #FreeBritney

Overall, though, Jamie Lynn speaks fondly of her childhood.

"Truthfully, my childhood was so fun ... everything was like Christmas, because we were just from this small town and my sister had amazing success. It was so amazing to see my sister reach such heights" #FreeBritney

By the time Jamie Lynn was 10, Britney Spears was already one of the most successful female artists in history. #FreeBritney

In 2005, Jamie Lynn got the role of Zoey 101 on Nickelodeon, probably because of the name recognition of her sister. Britney even wrote the theme song for her show. #FreeBritney

It was around this time that Lou Taylor became involved as Jamie Lynn's business manager. It was listed as such on an episode of Drew Marshall's Spiritual Talk Show on August 6th, 2006, where Lou says she's "married to a Godly man" and she's "a submissive wife." #FreeBritney

In this email to her lawyer in 2007, Britney Spears allegedly called Lou Taylor a "crazy lady" and a "stalker."

At the age of 16, Jamie Lynn got pregnant and Zoey 101 was forever cancelled. But she didn't even tell Britney and she had to find out through the paparazzi. #FreeBritney

In January 2008, Britney Spears was involuntarily hospitalized and the "crazy lady" Lou Taylor started giving statements to the press on behalf of Britney's family. Also, notice in the end how she calls the whole Spears family "amazing people" ...but forgets Britney? #FreeBritney

In February of 2008, after a year of troubles with every moment captured by the paparazzi lens, Britney Spears' father asked a court to put her under conservatorship, taking away her rights and giving him control over her life and finances. #FreeBritney

Britney's mom wrote in her book that Jamie and Lou were planning the conservatorship for weeks ahead of time. #FreeBritney

Sources at the time also said Lou Taylor was the mastermind of the conservatorship and she convinced Jamie this was "the only way to go." #FreeBritney

A few months after Britney was in a conservatorship, Life & Style published an article when a reporter overheard Lynne Spears saying she was "disappointed" in Jamie Lynn for getting pregnant at such a young age. Lou Taylor was named in the article and denied this. #FreeBritney

Later that year, when Jamie Lynn's baby daddy was asking for $250,000 to talk to the press, Lou Taylor was in another article saying "I represent Jamie Lynn and Lynne Spears, and if you want to make a deal with Casey, go through me." #FreeBritney

This whole time, Britney was trying to fight the conservatorship that she was put under. She even left this message to a lawyer saying her father was threatening to take her kids away if she petitioned to terminate the arrangement. #FreeBritney

Britney allegedly sent these texts calling Lou Taylor a "holy freak" and revealed she even tried to send Jamie Lynn away when she was pregnant. (Which is scary AF considering Lou sat on the board of Mercy Ministries which performed exorcisms on young girls.) #FreeBritney

In another text, Britney allegedly claimed that her father hit Jamie Lynn when she was pregnant because she was going to get an abortion. #FreeBritney

None of this would stop Jamie Lynn from continuing to support her father and Lou Taylor after they took away Britney's rights to manage her own life and finances. #FreeBritney

In fact, Lou Taylor has signed paperwork associated with Jamie Lynn's music companies. #FreeBritney

Jamie Lynn sent Lou Taylor a hand-crafted gift with pictures of her and Britney for her 50th birthday. #FreeBritney

And Lou Taylor went to Jamie Lynn's wedding, commenting "Love you. What a day it was!" #FreeBritney

In 2015, Jamie Lynn was seen pulling a knife on people in a restaurant. Yet Britney's the one who is under a conservatorship. #FreeBritney

In 2016, Jamie Lynn released a documentary called "When the Lights Go Out" and guess who uploaded it to IMBD? Lou Taylor, the mastermind of Britney's conservatorship. #FreeBritney

Lou Taylor is also seen quite a bit throughout the film. #FreeBritney

In 2017, Britney posted this video shouting out all the powerful women who make the world go around. #FreeBritney

Jamie Lynn reposted that video on Facebook and used it to give a shout out to Lou Taylor. #FreeBritney

In 2018, despite having no qualifications, Jamie Lynn was secretly named the trustee of Britney's SJB revocable trust, which holds an estimated $600 million in assets that Britney set aside for herself and her kids. This was not made public until earlier this year. #FreeBritney

Then Britney's mom Lynne started liking #FreeBritney comments, including this one where a fan accused Jamie Lynn of "doing nothing" to help her sister.

Jamie Lynn responded by posting a video of her sticking up for Britney 12 years earlier, before she was ever put under a conservatorship. Could she not find anything more recent of her standing up for her sister? #FreeBritney

Even while fans are decrying the violation of her sister's human rights, Jamie Lynn continued to support the woman who was largely responsible. #FreeBritney

Then things started to get... weird. Fans noticed Jamie Lynn and Britney were no longer following each other on Instagram and Jamie Lynn claimed she was "hacked." #FreeBritney

And while the #FreeBritney movement was in full force, Jamie Lynn would appear in Sweet Magnolias on Netflix and Lou Taylor would send her congratulations on Instagram.

Now, remember when I said Jamie Lynn secretly became the trustee of Britney's assets? Well, she recently filed a petition with the court listing a "separately managed trust account" with a company called Stonebridge. #FreeBritney

However, Britney fans did their research and found out that Stonebridge is closely connected with... yep, Lou Taylor, who worked as Vice President. #FreeBritney

Stonebridge randomly saw a HUGE increase in the assets under their management in 2019, about $600M. Fans have speculated that Jamie Lynn may have already moved the money into Stonebridge and is retroactively asking for court approval. #FreeBritney

We also found evidence that the current President of Stonebridge, Mitch Martin, seems to be scrubbing the internet for connections to Lou Taylor's company Tri-Star, where he also worked. #FreeBritney

When Kanye was in the news, Jamie Lynn shared a message about mental health clearly directed towards Britney. "If you care for someone dealing with mental illness, you know how important it is to respect the situation with privacy." It was reposted by Lou Taylor. #FreeBritney

Yet Jamie Lynn had no problem talking to Lance Bass about her sister's situation, and he went straight to the press to say we need to "trust the family." #FreeBritney

Jamie Lynn also claimed she has "never been paid a dime" from her sister, yet court documents reveal expenses she made directly to Britney's estate and there is probably a lot more we haven't seen. #FreeBritney

After these public statements, Britney sent a seemingly pointed message on Instagram saying that Frozen is her favorite movie because "the two sisters, their relationship, and then one goes off and lives in a castle just because she can't deal anymore." #FreeBritney

Jamie Lynn said she would "never speak out" about this because "the person it pertains to does not want that to happen." Yet Britney said in court she is "vehemently opposed" to them keeping her legal struggle hidden away as a family secret. #FreeBritney

Now, despite the fact that Britney is literally in court fighting for her human rights, Jamie Lynn has decided now is the time to release a new Zoey 101 project that is probably directly profiting Lou Taylor. #FreeBritney

n the end, Jamie Lynn Spears has done very little to help her sister. In fact, she has spent more time cozying up to the people who put her sister in this situation and continue to make money off her while she's deemed unable to manage her own finances and affairs. #FreeBritney
