Here's what else Covid-19 did:

We had to be in gowns, gloves & masks the last THREE days of my mother-in-law's life. She had pneumonia & they had to test her as she lay dying. The last things she saw were people covered up. Did she know us?
...1/2
Did she understand? Her eyes were wide with fear a few times. We couldn't touch her without gloves. We couldn't kiss her.
I couldn't visit my own mother during that time. She passed away without feeling our skin next to hers 1 last time.
Covid results came 2 days after her death.
Covid robbed us. But we were lucky. She died in a Senior Care facility. They let the whole family say goodbye. One of us was with her at all times. She was not alone. Others have not been so lucky.
