I've been logging some time on the Oculus Quest 2 since launch and thought I'd put together a few thoughts for anyone interested. Thread 👇

Performance-wise, there's vast improvement over the Quest. Content loads quicker and looks SO much sharper. The improved visual performance is especially noticeable when watching video and reading text - fine detail like menu options are so much crisper. Games look excellent too.
In terms of content - it's great to see games like Beat Saber and Superhot get a revamp and some visual bumps. I still feel like the Quest library needs more in the way of 'non-arcade' experiences though (i.e. things that are fun for an hour and then you're kind of done).
As per pretty much every other review - I'm not a fan of the new straps for the Quest 2. They feel... OK, but less comfortable and supportive than other VR solutions. It's not hard to see why people recommend the Elite strap (even if it's a $/ÂŁ50 extra, which feels ridiculous).
Other general thoughts: FB login seems non-intrusive once you've done it for setup (which is otherwise very easy). Not sure the new controllers are better than the old ones, but their battery life definitely is. And hand tracking is on-board but with no real reason to use it yet.
Overall: Quest 2 is $/ÂŁ299 + provides a great VR experience. This is THE best value for money headset around. But it's not perfect (I shouldn't have to buy an extra strap) and timing isn't ideal, because gamers are likely waiting for PS5/XBSX. Still, for VR users, it's excellent.
