But, even this response is an example of why we can’t have a sincere conversation. You state that we have “zero” leadership. There is enough reporting in our news for someone to know that is not true, or alternatively, I would have to question where you are getting your news. https://twitter.com/awayfrmitall/status/1318852949133512710
The Boise mayor was among the first to implement a mask mandate. CDH took their district back a reopening level, implemented a mask mandate and a restriction on the size of crowds. We now have enough towns, cities, counties or health districts with a mask mandate that about 53%
of Idahoans are under a mask mandate. The Governor instituted a Stay-At-Home order early on in this pandemic, he created groups of experts to advise him, he made a declaration of emergency, he has put in place economic measures that have meant Idaho is the top performing state
in terms of its economic recovery, he has overseen the state’s effort to create 7 new high throughout testing centers to ensure that despite the failure of our federal government, Idaho will have sufficient testing capacity as we enter into the most dangerous part of the pandemic
and I could go on. So, first, if you want to have an honest conversation about leadership, then don’t start off with a question that is hyperbolic and an insult to those who have been trying to lead in an extraordinarily difficult time. Are their leaders who have done nothing,
yes. But if that is the basis of your attack, attack them, not the governor. If you want to attack the Governor for not instituting waste water testing throughout Idaho, then do that (it would be ridiculous, but people say ridiculous things all the time), but it is not sincere to
suggest he has done zero. I am a medical expert on COVID, I am not the call center for complaints about politicians or other leaders. If you want to ask an appropriate COVID question, like why aren’t we doing waste water testing throughout Idaho, then fine. If you want to bash,
leaders, there are plenty of other forums to participate in that.
