The €1k fine for organising an unauthorised event (including a house party) can be increased if a court believes there were aggravating factors, including number of attendees, danger to health and compliance with Garda orders
The Bill does not give GardaĂ power to enter a premises without a warrant, but says they can turn someone around if they believe they're attending a domestic event. Cannot enter a premises but can stand at entrance and ask for occupier's name. €1k fine for refusal or failure
Due to have all stages debated by the Dáil on Friday afternoon, and the Seanad on Friday night.
