It's an absolute blessing to coach basketball for a living. But most coaches have to spend YEARS if a decade to get to a living wage. Who does that benefit? Why is it the only basketball pathway that there is the expectation of team service before personal sustinence?

'I would kill for that spot', so redirect that intense energy towards the fucked up system that pits worker against worker in a race to the bottom - rather than the dudes steal from self checkout and live in their cars just to keep the dream alive cause a rich dude wouldn't CTC.

And in college it's worse. Those dudes at the end of the beach in P5 conferences are living on students swipes and bananas - and that's how the system is built: exploiting those who really love this shit enough to do WHATEVER to make it our 24/7 gig with food on the table.
