I text DBT to let them know I will be 30 mins late to group tomorrow because I have an appointment 9.30-10.30, and instead of a ‘thanks for letting us know Jess, we appreciate you have a life” I get “in future don’t do it again”

Treat. Me. Like. An. Adult!
Now I’m having a meltdown because they’ve made me feel bad, but also my work & commitments are important to me and to my well-being. Can’t talk to them about my meltdown because it’s their attitude that’s caused it.

Give me strength!
But if they were late - like they were a few weeks ago - it would be fine! How’s that for power imbalance?!

Wish I’d lied and said I’d had ‘technical issues’, because being honest obviously doesn’t mean o get treated with respect.

Ok, rant over (for now) 👀
Also, may have sent them an ‘attitudey’ text (appreciate I could’ve toned said text better) saying it’s an important commitment to me and I feel like I’m going to get told off for that. Honestly feel like a child in this therapy.
Will also probably get told off for this thread of tweets by the therapists, but ya know what? This gal doesn’t care because she’s fed up of working with professionals who have no respect for her (& also hasn’t done anything wrong)âœŒđŸ»
