why the phrase “theres only 2 genders” doesn’t make sense anymore

so let’s just point out the obvious, gender ≠ sex.

gender is a social construct whilst sex is actually the one that’s tied with biology.

now gender is what you are identified as. there could be hundreds of genders for all we know, because it is a social construct.

sex on the other hand is to do with chromosomes. there are two main karyotypes, xx (female) and xy (male)

but as studies show, there are actually at least 5. the others include:

-X (also called turners)
-XXY (also called klinefelter)
-XYY
-XXXY

these are rare, but doesn’t mean they should be ignored.

so yes, there are more than 2 genders AND sexes. so stop invalidating people, and research before you start saying shit.

if i got something wrong, please correct me! unless if it’s going against the fact there’s more than two genders you’re still wrong.
