Am angrier today than yesterday and that says something. No cross border contact tracing whatsoever after 7 months of pandemic; every GP knows retired or not working medical colleagues who volunteered to contact trace and have heard nothing. 1/

An excessive and disproportionate further lockdown which is going to ruin more lives and small businesses than need happen to cover this ineptitude and huge policy failures in general. 2/

& now the final insult: a ham fisted attempt to cover up the inevitable failures of contact tracing by throwing the one well functioning part of the health service: general practice, under the bus.
