Let's stop trying to justify our work to those who see no value in trying to understand it.

I see researchers changing their approach because they fear criticism from quantitative researchers.

We have a lot to lose if we continue down this path.

If we do this, I think we end up devaluing our own research.

In our drive to seek approval, and justify our research to quantitative researchers, we risk chopping and changing our qualitative methods so much that they are no longer recognisable as qualitative. We risk losing the rigor & the value of qualitative methods.

Let's stop pleasing people & stand firm in the knowledge that our method was chosen because it was the best choice for that given research project.

Stand firm in the knowledge that we offer real scientific value and insights *because* of the methods we have chosen.
