Yuji Ohno's score, lots of jazz but with a bunch of other influences, is a huge component of the charm of Lupin III as a franchise. It's been a joy to listen to all these different versions of his classic songs he's made.

I think 2015 is my favorite Samba Temperado-
If you recognize the song but can't place it, it's likely because of this very charming escape scene in Cagliostro :) The Miyazaki film from 1979
Also of course used brilliantly for the plane scene in The First :) When The First comes to VOD I hope a lot of people rent it. Really enjoyed this movie
I like all of the classic Ohno songs but Samba Temperado and Zenigata March are my two favorites.

Zenigata March has such a variance even in its regular usage too! There's the 2019 version, a good example of the over-the-top horn-heavy "oh god here he comes" sound-
(here in context in The First)
another really over-the-top one, also a 2015 version from Part IV, where he surprises Lupin on his helicopter then fucking crashes it hahaha
AND THEN the slow mournful version of Zenigata March!! Here from Cagliostro when he's off the case and nobody wants to deal with the counterfeit bills he uncovered! 1979 again
Here's a great part II ep that has at least THREE different versions in it haha! ep 69, 1979. The last one REALLY sounds like a march
