Revolt against the building of ugliness and return to beauty
I'm convinced America's obesity and opioid epidemic is in part due to how we build. People today don't consider that the needs of humans go far beyond the material.
America builds cheap, windowless, consumerist, soulless strip malls. You drive in and drive out with your stuff as quickly as possible.

Built for cars, not for people
Utilitarian building results in spiritual and physical atrophy. It separates and distances people. It makes us feel smaller and more alone in an already too-vast universe
Places built for people are human-sized, incorporate nature, and encourage walking. Your body and spirit are healthier in a place like this
Good built environments are charming and inspiring. You want to dwell there. There is a sense of character and place

It feels comforting, familiar, and cozy. Like it's uplifting you instead of draining you
Beautiful spaces serve us just as much as we serve them
