I never thought I'd say this but I truly miss 晚自习

It's basically "group study hours". So every school night between 7 and 10 I'd do my homework in a classroom alongside classmates (is it a thing in America?). After a yr trapped indoors I begin to miss the structured boarding school life, which I vehemently hated for 10+ yrs.

晚自习 comes as a mixture of productivity, adolescence & surveillance. I wrote poems and song lyrics while posing as doing my math homework. The 50-ppl class once collectively wrote a novel. I played Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade like there's no tmr until my GBA was confiscated
