#EndSARS
We do not in anyway encourage or support the killings of innocent protesters or youth. As an organization, we share in the pain of the people and we support the right to peaceful protest. 1/6
We have read the comments and reactions from our followers on Twitter and the larger online community of users who have proffered their opinion about our reportage of the #EndSARS protests in the last 13 days. 2/6
As journalists, we have a duty to our diverse audiences across multiple platforms to keep the flow of information up to date, and as accurate as possible to avoid trivializing facts or watering down critical information. 3/6
With this duty comes the responsibility of striking a balance and ensuring that we do not disseminate inaccurate information to the detriment of any and all parties. 4/6
We are appealing to #EndSARS protesters, Twitter and the general online community to engage with us by sending us videos and a narrative of events as they unfold. Please send DMs, tweets and tag us @tvcnewsng on relevant online platforms. 5/6
This would enrich our content and help tell the stories that must be told.

Trust is our biggest asset and we will strive to deliver on our promise - first with breaking news. 6/6
