The Haunting Of Bly Manor: Fascinating Theories and Hidden Details (a thread)

Dani& #39;s Hostel: The room number which Dani lived in was 217, a reference to the infamous room in Stephen King& #39;s The Shining (original novel version).
Flora& #39;s Dollhouse: The dollhouse shows the actual location of ghosts and humans in the manor. Director Mike Flanagan says that if you look closely, you& #39;ll see the dolls in the dollhouse match the location of hidden ghosts.
The Doll Under The Dresser: This doll represents Viola (aka the lady in the lake). When she is under the dresser, it means she& #39;s asleep in the lake. If she& #39;s found in the dollhouse, she& #39;s in the manor. (1/2)
In this scene, Viola’s doll appeared on the floor, in between the dresser and the dollhouse. This meant Viola was walking towards Bly Manor. This explains Flora and Miles decision to lock Dani in the closet for her own safety. (2/2)
Come Home: This was a pretty obvious reference to Hill House.
Hannah& #39;s Candles: Hannah always lights 4 candles - the parents, Rebecca and Hannah herself. The 4th candle wasn& #39;t for Peter as she never knew Peter was dead until Ep 5. Hannah however, was already looking at her dead body when we were introduced to her.
Hannah Acting Strange: Her behaviour points to her being dead. She frequently touches her head as she had broken her head. She sees a non-existent crack in walls as that was the last thing she saw before she died. She doesn& #39;t eat or drink because she& #39;s a ghost.
The Faceless Boy: Throughout the series, we see glimpses of this boy. He is the one moving the dolls. In a flashback we see Flora giving the boy a "face" and a story, and the boy repays her by warning her of the location of ghosts using the dolls.
Phone Home: Henry Thomas, the actor who played Uncle Henry, was also the child actor in E.T. which had a famous phrase "phone home". In Bly Manor, his character was also constantly afraid to "phone home".
Dani& #39;s Eye Colors: After Viola had accepted the invitation into Dani& #39;s body, one of Dani& #39;s eyes changes from blue to brown. Here onwards, her eyes stay the same - one blue and one brown, an indication that half her soul/body is shared with someone else.
