My grandfather died back in May. He was the Director of the board of Discover. Tonight, he was recognized at the @FT Outstanding Directors Exchange.
There was a Zoom call with my family and some of the executives from Discover and a few other board members. It was so nice to hear all the amazing stories about him and how much he used to talk about me and my brother and cousins.
I heard that basically every conversation he had, we were all mentioned. I heard a few stories about how he would take what I told him about gaming or technology and mention it to the board and they would then look into it for future investments.
That's super meaningful to me because whenever I speak to my family about technology, it seems like their eyes gloss over and nobody could give a singular shit. It's obvious now that he listened and cared about what I was saying.

I miss my grandpa.
