A THREAD FOR PEOPLE THAT WANT TO WORK AT @Watch_Momentum: Before I start I'd like to thank you, it is truly a humbling feeling knowing that there are people that want to commit time out of their life to grow this game. So, here are some tips for you that'll help you stand out.
The single most important tip I could give is to be specific about who you are and what you do. While it is great that you love baseball & are willing to do whatever to help, that doesn't help us differentiate you from the other people emailing in with a similarly vague response.
The 2nd tip is to provide examples of your work. Resumes are good, but providing real-world examples to showcase your skill is just as important. Ex. if your skill is marketing, show us a campaign you worked on, what you did on it, & data showing how that campaign performed.
Look I understand those that may not have the experience in this particular space, might have a hard time fulfilling tips 1 & 2 -- that is totally fine. What I encourage you to do is to learn a skill and create examples using that skill.
Areas to develop skills in:
Video Production
Graphic Design
Paid Social Advertising
E-commerce
Web Design
Brand Partnerships
Social Media
Film Distribution
It wasn't long ago that I felt lost not knowing what I wanted to do. So don't be afraid to try new things & learning different skills. It is not a waste of your time learning a skill that may not be your exact 'calling', it just adds more tools to your tool kit.
I hope that helps, Momentum is growing & we are going to need all the help we can get. We aren't hiring right now necessarily but we are always open to bringing on new people if they fit the bill, so feel free to reach out here: https://watch-momentum.com/pages/careers
