4.6% of Nigerian exports end up in Ghana. Only 3.6% of Ghanaian exports end up in Nigeria. For context, Ghana relies more heavily Burkina Faso. (UN Comtrade)

The oil and gas issue is also a non-starter.

Ghana has excess oil and gas reserves that we don’t know what to do with. We don’t rely on Nigeria in any way for oil.

This is an issue of politics.

The collective strength of African leaders and the power it gives them to loot and pillage is only as strong as the weakest leader on the continent. To undermine one of them is to undermine the whole system itself.

That is why they remain silent.
