I was watching a sermon earlier and the pastor said “if you aren’t getting answers, ask a better question.” And I really didn’t understand at first...
But then he gave in example and was like everybody was asking how they would kill Goliath bc he’s so big and then David was like, how could we miss him bc he’s so big and then it all made perfect sense.
I often feel like God is ignoring me when he doesn’t answer my questions when in actuality im just asking the wrong questions and that concept just blew my mind.
So after he gave the example he said that if God isn’t answering your questions then just ask God for a better question instead of asking him to answer your previous question.
Then I realized that sometimes an answer to your question is a question which was really hard for me to grasp but then I realize that God isn’t ignoring me and he is actually answering my questions with questions if that makes sense.
Then I realized that when God answers your questions with a question, it’s a question that you can now answer yourself and again, my mind was blown 🤯
You will literally misinterpret an entire situation by simply asking the wrong questions. And all of those bad questions are just the devil attempting to distract you.
Anyways. My main takeaway was to stop asking questions about things I can’t control because questions direct the integrity of your thoughts. If you’re an over thinker or you obsess over things like me then that is vital information.
