Hey fellow anxious friends! This next few weeks is like the Anxiety Aggro Crag for most of us! A couple things I am doing to cope:
1. Moving my body.
2. Drinking water
3. No caffeine after noon
4. Using sleeping pills when I have insomnia because no sleep makes me a nut
The other big one is keeping food in the house that I know I will eat. My stomach is my best anxiety gauge & I have a pattern of not eating when anxious & then getting so hungry I eat everything & feel like crap. I have things like tortellini, turkey & cheese, grapes, etc.
that I always want to eat so I can take care of myself. I try to be extra generous about not pushing myself to eat the “right” things in times of severe anxiety but just to eat. We can’t fight if we are hungry all the damn time.

Also a fan of naps, gentle TV shows (no news) & reading uplifting books. My forever go to is Tiny Beautiful Things by @CherylStrayed. It makes me feel better to read such radical empathy & love when everything feels like hot trash!
