Hi everyone 👋 — So, behind all of those drops we had a product the entire time.

I always loved the idea floated that we were some sort of product studio but we're not that cool.

I'm really excited to finally unveil Stir and open up our beta. https://medium.com/@josephpalbanese/say-hello-to-stir-976815839898
We're pretty relentless about our mission of empowering creators to run great businesses.

We think there are two ways to do that:

1. Simplify every aspect of running the back-office.

2. Make it dramatically easier to collaborate and grow with others.
On point 1, we have two features we're excited about.

The first is what we call Overview — think of it like a Mint-dashboard but designed with creators in mind.

You can plug in your Patreon, Twitch, YouTube, Shopify, and Brand deals and understand the biz from a glance.
The second is what we call Upcoming. Internally I've been calling it a "calendar for your money".

One of the biggest pain points of being a Creator are payment schedules. They don't have salaries.

Any clarity on when they can expect to be paid is a massive gain.
The biggest source of growth is through collabs.

When these partnerships start earning revenue they formalize by starting a group chat — Not complicated s-corps or lengthy contracts.

We call the future of these lightweight businesses "Collectives".
Anyone can start a Collective on Stir and you can do so in just a few clicks.

Collectives can share revenue, analytics, and content. They're great for editors, managers, accountants, and even other creators.

You can be in multiple collectives at the same time. There's no limit.
The powerful feature behind Collectives is Splits.

Splits allows for transparent & fast payouts. Everyone gets paid at the same time.

You can split anything but it's best when native. Split Adsense on a video, split CPM on a single podcast, split an item in your Shopify store.
The possibilities are endless — We're early but I think this will allow for creators to build new revenue streams with one another and create new types of businesses.

I've framed this internally as the Barstool business model but as a platform that anyone can build on top of.
Anyway, that's what we are announcing today. I'm really really grateful for all the incredible folks who have taken a big chance on us.

I'm also really grateful for my partner, @kushalbyatnal — We have a truly special relationship and building with him is a dream come true.
